SIGGRAPH submission was changed

Bonjour,

Today I checked the new online submission system of SIGGRAPH2008.
http://www.siggraph.org/s2008/
https://sis.siggraph.org/cgi-bin/SIS_SSL.py
It's completely new (like ReVolution2008)! I have to create a new
account for the new system.

I can see these submissions today...
[open] General Submission OPEN 17 October 2007 30
January 2008
[missing] Papers Forthcoming 11 December 2007 23 January
2008
[open] Student Volunteers OPEN 01 November 2007 24
February 2008
[missing] XSV: Ex-Student Volunteers CLOSED 17 October 2007
11 November 2007

"General Submission" includes everything that means Poster, sketch,
E-Tech, Art, Computer Art Festival, etc...
For all submission have to fill following questions;

-Title of the Submission:
-Summary Statement:
A single-sentence executive summary that introduces the achievements of
your submission (50 words or fewer - proofed - suitable for conference
publicity).
-Description:
A short overview that highlights the innovations and significant
accomplishments, commentary, or contributions of your submission to the
SIGGRAPH community (150 words or fewer - proofed - suitable for
conference publicity).
-Optional web url to be used for conference publicity.
-Primary submission area:
-Secondary submission area:
You are required to select one Primary submission area and may
optionally select a Secondary submission area. Use the links below for a
detailed explanation of each submission area.

* SIGGRAPH Core

-Primary keyword:
-Additional keyword:
-Check here if this work has appeared or been submitted elsewhere?
-Indicate whether this work has been presented, published or submitted
elsewhere. This includes work that is closely derivative of other work
or techniques. If so, please give details.
-Check here if your presentation at the conference will differ from the
materials you upload.
-Indicate whether your presentation will differ in some way from the
materials you upload. For example:
Electronic file format doesn't properly capture physical characteristics
Unable to upload final imagery yet due to copyright restrictions
-Provide as much detail as possible, but remember that the jury will
evaluate your work based solely on the uploaded materials, so you must
make sure the uploaded materials capture or explain its merits. Any
notes you give here are for clarification purposes only).
If so, please give details.
-Check here to request review by the English Review Service.
Non-native English speakers may use the English Review Service to help
with text of submissions. Please note that this takes time, so your
submission must be sent to the English Review Service well in advance of
the published deadline.

The next page is a agreement of rights no changes as before.

Anyway, it sounds difficult for past challengers but it makes a lot of
chance for newcommers, I think!

best regards,

http://www.siggraph.org/s2008/

Information System (SIS)
https://sis.siggraph.org/cgi-bin/SIS_SSL.py

[open] General Submission OPEN 17 October 2007 30 January 2008
[missing] Papers Forthcoming 11 December 2007 23 January 2008
[open] Student Volunteers OPEN 01 November 2007 24 February 2008
[missing] XSV: Ex-Student Volunteers CLOSED 17 October 2007 11 November 2007

Arts、CAF
-Title of the Submission:
-Summary Statement:

-- Urgent FolderShare User Notification --

Dear FolderShare friends,

This mail is to alert you to a potential issue with the data you have
saved with FolderShare.

Please do NOT delete files from your FolderShare Trash folder until you
have verified that you were not affected by this situation.

From 12/3/07 to 12/6/07, some files may have been accidentally moved
from their original folders into the FolderShare Trash folder. The bug
that caused this problem has been fixed.

The only files affected are ones with names containing certain
characters, such as accents, trademark signs, etc. For example,
"Espan~a.jpg."

If you were impacted, your files should still be recoverable. They can
be found and restored from the FolderShare Trash.

All users should do the following:

1) Do NOT delete files from your FolderShare Trash folder until you are
certain that you were not affected by this problem.

2) Look in your FolderShare Trash folder for any files that should not
be there. To access your FolderShare Trash folder:

a. Click on the FolderShare icon in your System Tray
b. Click on "More"
c. Click on "View Trash"

If you see files in the Trash folder that should not be there, move them
back to their intended folders. Look for files with accents or special
characters, such as "Espan~a.jpg"

Note: in a few cases, the original folder could have been deleted, in
which case you will need to recreate it.

For the latest updates on this situation, see the FolderShare web site:
http://www.foldershare.com

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this problem has caused. We
have corrected the source of the problem and taken steps to help prevent
this from happening again.

Thank you for your continued support of FolderShare.

[CFDemo] Laval Virtual ReVolution 2008

Call for Demo: Laval Virtual ReVolution 2008

Laval Virtual is the biggest VR convention in Europe, held yearly at Laval. We're currently organizing the 10th edition, which will include an international academic conference (VRIC), a student competition in cooperation with IVRC (http://ivrc.org/), an awarding event, an international exposition and "ReVolution", an international contribution of VR demonstrations.

Submission deadline 29th Jan 2008

Laval Virtual ReVolution 2008
-World Performance of VR Applications-

Laval Virtual ReVolution is an annual honor to the world's finest
VR project, by Laval Virtual. This is a hall of fame award that decides
the best Virtual Reality demonstration and/or application from all over
the world. Virtual Reality is not only a technology but also a never
ending story between computers and human history.
We cannot get the final answer of this issue immediately, as we still
need to find and walk one of the many possible paths that will lead us
to a future navigated by brilliant stars. The staring at those stars
should be continued for the future voyagers on the way.
Of course, a great number of academic papers or commercial products can
build a way of Virtual Reality. However we suggest a new relation
between developmental projects and general public at on-site
demonstrations. If a performed project has impact, technology and
persuasive, it will move the general public and change the common sense.
So, this means a revolution in the history of Virtual Reality.
Please try to join today's stardom with your exciting project.
And share the activity from all over the world!

Session Organizer: Akihiko SHIRAI, Ph.D (ENSAM P&I Lab / JSPS / Miraikan )

We hope to accept your brilliant projects which can get over the current
common sense of Virtual Reality and make changes to the current
human-computer interfaces and Virtual Reality history.

-Technology Demonstration
-Interactive Arts
-Entertainment VR
-New Media Designs
-New Game Systems
